Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Scientist within UCD School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

This research aims to develop scalable quantum processors with interconnected quantum cores using quantum-coherent links and wireless communication networks, ultimately enabling million-qubit architectures to solve real-world problems beyond the capabilities of classical computers.
The candidate needs a strong theoretical and simulation/modelling background in quantum computing, applied electromagnetic fields, and the coupling designs of the electromagnetic fields for cavity and system, particularly an understanding for the propagation of electromagnetic waves through different types of waveguides composed of various dielectrics and materials. The successful candidate will be expected to investigate the coupling designs and electromagnetic wave propagation through specialized waveguides, including those incorporating superconducting materials.

Salary: €55000 per annum
