Post Summary:

The Paralegal will join the Research Contracts office within KnEx, and will draft, review and negotiate research contracts with a particular focus on the issue and negotiation of non-disclosure agreements, material transfer agreements and data transfer agreements. This will add to the support that the Knowledge Exchange Office provides to College in facilitating the engagement of external parties, particularly industry, with College by ensuring all research contracts are negotiated and administered in an efficient and professional manner including assisting with providing advice on intellectual property (IP) terms of other research contracts. Effective review and negotiations will aim to minimize any exposure and/or liability to College and Principal Investigators and to also ensure internal College policies are adhered to and College / Schools / Principal Investigators are in a position to comply with same. The Paralegal will also assist senior management with the implementation of key projects.

Post status: Permanent

Hours of Post: 35 hours per week

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 2 Salary Scale (€58,415 - €68,639 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
