Duties 

We are countering the current GPU resource monopoly that limits AI development to a few researchers by developing a system that integrates numerous domain-specific models into a foundation model for AGI, significantly reducing computational needs.  The appointees will assist the project leader in the research project – “PolyU academy for Artificial Intelligence”.  They will be required to:

(a)    explore advanced techniques on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Multi-mode Large Language Models (MLLMs);

(b)    establish development platforms;

(c)    create innovative algorithms/systems based on LLMs; and

(d)    perform any other duties as assigned by the project leader, the Head of Unit or their delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants for the Research Fellow post should have a doctoral degree plus at least three years of postdoctoral research experience or equivalent qualifications and experience.

Applicants for the Research Assistant posts should have an honours degree or an equivalent qualification.
