[Appointment period: each for six to twelve months]

Duties 

The appointees will assist the project leader in the project - “Holistic education in radiation oncology and care empowerment for cancer children and carers (“HERO-CARE”)”.  They will be required to:

(a)    plan and deliver engaging workshops for children with cancer and their parents, incorporating educational tools and resources;

(b)    facilitate consistent and effective communication with project leaders, student helpers, hospital representatives and third-party collaborators;

(c)    collaborate on AI-driven initiatives to enhance project outcomes, such as developing tools or systems to support education;

(d)    contribute to the creation of educational materials and training programmes;

(e)    promote HERO-CARE through various platforms, highlighting its innovative use of technology and educational impact; and

(f)    manage scheduling, documentation, and logistics to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications

Applicants for the Project Associate post should have a master’s degree or a good honours degree in a relevant field with three or more years of research/relevant work experience.

Applicants for the Project Assistant post should have an honours degree in a relevant field or an equivalent qualification.

Applicants should also have:

(a)    strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines;

(b)    excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders, including technical and clinical teams;

(c)    the ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to innovative project demands;

(d)    interest in AI applications (e.g. data analysis, tool development), with relevant experience being desirable; and

(e)    passion for education and training, particularly in healthcare or oncology settings.

Preference will be given to those with prior experience in healthcare or oncology settings.

Conditions of Service

For full-time appointments, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. 

For part-time appointments, the remuneration rates are HK$178 per hour for the post of Project Associate and HK$125 per hour for the post of Project Assistant.
