Assistant Lecturer (with functional title of Teaching Associate) in the Department of Politics and Public Administration (Ref.: 531840) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree and have extensive knowledge of international relations and related fields. The Department particularly welcomes applicants with experience in researching and teaching a wide range of courses. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English. Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience in internationally oriented higher education environments, and demonstrated competence in the application of quantitative and/or qualitative research methods.

The appointee will be expected to conduct tutorials for postgraduate and possibly undergraduate courses offered by the Department, mark students' assignments under the guidance of lead instructors, help lead capstone or internships, and perform any other academic-related duties as assigned by the Department.

A salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
