Offer Description
The recruited person will contribute to the ANR project "Time and Position sensitive fast piXel detectors for 4D electron spectroscopy" (TPX4), aimed at developing advanced electron microscopy techniques for nanoscale surface analysis. They will focus on improving High-Resolution Electron Energy Loss Microscopy (HREELM) by using fast time-sensitive detectors to achieve high spatial and energy resolution
Develop and implement improvements for HREELM technology, focusing on high-resolution surface imaging and vibrational spectroscopy.
Work with fast time- and position-sensitive detectors, optimizing nanometric precision and electron energy control.
Collaborate closely with the teams at CEA/SPEC and LAC, ensuring effective knowledge exchange and synergies with PhD students and researchers.
The position is based at the Aimé Cotton Laboratory (LAC) and is part of a collaborative project also involving the Molecular Sciences Institute of Orsay (ISMO) and the Physics of Condensed Matter Department (SPEC), all located at the University of Paris-Saclay. The recruited person will work in a dynamic research environment, benefiting from the complementary expertise of the partner laboratories.
