More specifically, the AMARE team aims to characterise the acclimatisation of marine animals to environmental variations, to integrate responses from the individual to the population and to interpret individual and population responses as indicators of environmental quality.

The LIENSs laboratory is an interdisciplinary Joint Research Unit (UMR 7266 La Rochelle University - CNRS) that uses interdisciplinarity to address the challenges of sustainable development in relation to coastal areas. It brings together the skills of a wide range of disciplines, from the environmental sciences to the humanities, chemistry and biotechnology. Its research focuses in particular on the functioning of the coastal system, its evolution in a context of global change and increasing urbanisation of the coasts, and its sustainable use and exploitation.
