Offer Description

The MSH Dijon is a Federative Research Center of UBE and a CNRS Research Support and Service Unit. It facilitates the gathering, coordination, stimulation, and promotion of research activities in the Humanities and Social Sciences, particularly by supporting transdisciplinary programs focused on thematic areas.

MSH Dijon supports research projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from inception to scientific publication, aiming for broad dissemination of results.

To assist researchers, it provides technical resources, including a Digital Humanities Technology Platform composed of three specialized units:

  • Archives, Documentation, and Digitization (ADN)
  • Geomatics Bourgogne/Franche-Comté (GEOBFC)
  • University Data Platform (PUDD)

These facilities are dedicated to the creation and analysis of digital corpora.

Objective :Tool-assisted semantic analyses of the Beelzebot project corpus to model linguistic recognition criteria for robot armies on X.

Description :The contract is part of the "Linguistic Identification of Robot Armies" work package within the ANR Beelzebot project. It will complement the results obtained through the computational approach.

Scientific Justification : Building on current research in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and AI applied to linguistic analysis, and within the framework of constructional approaches to natural languages, the goal is to test the hypothesis that the identification of lexico-grammatical patterns can provide reliable qualitative identification cues for messages generated by robot armies on X. This work is therefore part of broader research on the linguistic dimension of computer-mediated communication.

Project Phases

  • M1 - M6: Familiarization with the tweet corpus and preparation of the dataset for linguistic analysis.
  • M7 - M18: Corpus analysis using various tools.
  • M14 - M18: Writing of one or more articles discussing the results.

Missions and Activities

  • Preparation of the corpus for linguistic analysis
  • Comparative testing of NLP tools and LLMs for lexico-grammatical analysis
  • Bibliographic monitoring
  • Writing a state-of-the-art review
  • Conference presentations
  • Scientific writing (abstracts, articles)
