YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION

The assistant professor will perform activities related to the research, teaching and professional aspects of the academic profession:

  • The dominant area of activity will be research activities in the field of early childhood education and care, including systemic and conceptual approaches to inclusion and preschool education. European policies on early childhood education, care and education,
  • Successful applicant will be included in the working team focusing on development and research projects (GAČR, TAČR, Erasmus+),
  • will prepare and implement interdisciplinary projects with a research focus,
  • will lead his/her own research and publication activities,
  • will participate in the implementation of teaching in compulsory and elective courses in the above mentioned study programs,
  • will participate in the development and support of new forms of teaching using artificial intelligence (AI),
  • will lead, review and consult bachelor and master theses conducted at IVIV,
  • participation in the research and professional projects of colleagues is expected,
  • as an assistant professor, he/she can be a member of committees and act as a tutor or consultant, prepare for the requirements for appointment as an associate professor and guarantee selected courses in the program Special education.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

Qualification:

  • completed doctoral studies (Ph.D.) in the field of education, psychology or sociology,
  • experience with publishing in peer-reviewed journals (at least 3 published papers in the last 6 years in journals included in the Web of Science database),
  • previous experience of teaching courses at a university,
  • experience in preparing and managing research grants (GAČR or TAČR),
  • active knowledge of English and another world language (minimum level for both languages: C1),
  • ability to teach in Czech language (proof of Czech language proficiency),
  • Experience in delivering professional courses focused on the use of AI in education (an advantage).

Required knowledge, skills, abilities

  • Broad user proficiency on PC and mobile devices. Knowledge of AI research focused applications. Knowledge of secure data, information and digital content management, ability to collaborate through digital technologies,
  • Basic social media management skills,
  • Flexibility and willingness to contribute to the development of quality undergraduate student training,
  • Good organizational and communication skills, independence, responsibility, ability to come up with own research and pedagogical projects and innovations in teaching.
