The position of Senior Professional Associate at the Center for Informatics and Computing, Ruđer Bošković Institute is responsible for the maintenance and administration of the computer cluster as well as for the technical and professional support of users.

Skills/Qualifications
  • ln addition to the general conditions for employment, applicants must meet the requirements stipulated by the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act and the Ordinance on Additional Selection Criteria for Election to Scientific Positions of the Rudjer Boskovic Institute and the Ordinance on the Conditions for Selection to Scientific Titles published in Official Gazetta.
  • Master's degree in the field of technical sciences (computer science or electrical engineering), biotechnical sciences (biotechnology) or natural sciences (mathematics or physics).
  • At least six years of professional experience in a professional position.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Specific Requirements

Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • advanced knowledge of Python and C/C++ programming languages, 
  • experience in the administration of Unix and HPC systems, 
  • experience in developing IT solutions to improve HPC system performance, 
  • performance profiling,
  • setting up and maintaining user work environments.

Selection process

ln addition to the general conditions for employment, applicants must meet the requirements stipulated by the Higher Education and Scientific Activity Act and the Ordinance on Additional Selection Criteria for Election to Scientific Positions of the Rudjer Boskovic Institute and the Ordinance on the Conditions for Selection to Scientific Titles published in Official Gazetta.

The following should be attached to the application form:

1. Biography - general information, data on education, acquired professional qualifications and doctoral degree, professional work experience

2. Proof of the academic degree  

3. Brief summary of scientific activities in the last position held

Selected candidates who have achieved their higher qualifications outside Croatia will be required, before the signing of the employment contract, to obtain the Ruling on the Recognition of Foreign Higher Educational Qualifications issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education

The employment includes a six-month trial period.
