Offer Description

 
Organizes and teaches courses (lectures, studios, seminars) and performs other forms of teaching duties (assignment corrections, consultations with students, preliminary exams, graduation theses mentorship, field courses) in the scientific field or branch for which he is appointed . He also acts as university staff counselor and mentor of post-graduate students and Ph.D. candidates. In addition he/she heads or takes part in the scientific research, artistic, and professional work, tests students' knowledge, participates in the work of expert boards and other professional bodies at an institution of higher education, and serves on academic committees.

Skills/Qualifications

Requirements: Applicants must meet the requirements for the appointment  as Research Associate,  the requirements specified by the Rector's Board, and the specific requirements set down by the Faculty Council. In addition, he/she must receive a positive review of his/her habilitation lecture given to university staff and students. 
In case of the courses that can only be taught by an artist, the artistic lecturing position may be held by an applicant who does not formally meet the standard requirements for the appointment  to a scientific / professorial ranks on condition that he/she has competence and accomplishments that  fulfil the requirements necessary for the evaluation of his/her teaching and professional activities in the appointment procedure for the artistic lecturing positions in art fields.

Exceptionally, an applicant who does not meet the above stated requirements but is internationally acknowledged and known as a top level scientist, artist or professional may be appointed to the position of Assistant  Professor.
An applicant is appointed as Assistant  Professor  to a university position (scientific rank) / artistic lecturing position for a period of five years.
