Course Code: KPE336H: Outdoor Physical Activity and Recreation
Course description: In this course, students will experience the natural environment of Ontario in the context of outdoor physical activity and recreation. This course provides an overview of the field skills for the developing outdoor leader. Students are exposed to wilderness recreation and travel, outdoor living, navigation, environmental ethics, and leadership. Students will develop skills for planning and managing hiking activities to lead a one-day trip into basic hiking terrain.

Sessional Lecturer I - $9,457.90
Sessional Lecturer I – Long Term - $9,930.79
Sessional Lecturer II - $10,121.77
Sessional Lecturer II – Long Term - $10,326.62
Sessional Lecturer III - $10,362.76
Sessional Lecturer III – Long Term - $10,570.02
Minimum Qualifications: PhD preferred in a relevant area, or combination of relevant expertise and experience. Teaching experience in college or university setting is an asset.
Description of duties: All duties associated with the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration, and marking of assignments, tests, and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours; supervising TAs assigned to the course, if applicable. This course will be taught in person.
