RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
Under the supervision of the Technical Platform Manager - Centre for Innovative Medicine (CIM), and following established governmental guidelines and regulations, the incumbent is responsible for conducting primarily computed tomography (CT Scan) and magnetic resonance (MRI) examinations for the RI-MUHC clinical studies.

The Centre for Innovative Medicine is located in the new Glen site hospital, which is a unique center in Canada of 5000 m2 dedicated exclusively to clinical research.

General Duties
• Receives and prepares patients and explain the exam to patients,
• Performs imaging examinations primarily in Computed Tomography (CT-Scan), as well as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as per the clinical research protocol and the imaging manual in adults and children, use other imaging modalities as per the study requirements,
• Insert catheter and injects contrast agents, if required,
• Book the appointments with the study coordinators,
• Scan the medical requisitions and print labels,
• Anonymize and upload images using numerous web portal to transmit to the sponsor and answer queries,
• Ensures security around the magnetic field and conformity of equipment,
• Upload image to PACS,
• Meets the research teams, on request,
• Act as the liaison between the study coordinators and research radiologists,
• Any other tasks as assigned by the manager.


Education / Experience

Education: Diploma of College Studies (DEC)
Field of Study: Radiodiagnostic Technology
Other education considered an asset for this position:
Work Experience: Experience with CT Scan (MRI is an asset). Previous clinical research experience is an asset.

Additional information

Status : Temporary Full-Time (35-hour workweek) Contract from July 2025 to January 2026
Pay Scale: $44,408.00 - $82,427.80 Commensurate with education & work experience.
