Offer Description

The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) is conducting a research on the Drivers, Scale and Spending Patterns of Brunei’s Cross-Border Cash Drain and seeks to hire a part-time Research Assistant for a period of 90 days starting from May 2025.

The Role

We seek candidates with adequate knowledge, skills, and experience in conducting fieldwork, software specific skills (i.e., SPSS, NVivo, STATA, R) for qualitative and quantitative analysis, and writing scientific reports. Prior experience of working on a project is preferred but not mandatory.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors or preferably Masters in business, economics, public policy or any related discipline.

Able to speak and write in the English language.

Demonstrated both quantitative and qualitative research skills

Demonstrate ability to conduct survey and interviews

Demonstrate ability to write research reports and scholarly articles.

Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
