Offer Description

Scholarship: BRL 12,000.00 (twelve thousand Brazilian Reais)

Selection Requirements: Hold a PhD in Physical Chemistry, obtained within the last 7 years. Reside in Araraquara (São Paulo state, Brazil). The following skills in Physical Chemistry are needed: Extensive experience with characterization techniques such as contact angle measurements, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Small-Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS), and Electrokinetic Analyzer for analyzing surface charges of extended solids; Knowledge of the synthesis of porous materials using the spray pyrolysis technique is required; Mastery of various characterization techniques, including Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray powder diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC), Raman Spectroscopy, Chemisorption, Physisorption, and Microscopy (Scanning/Transmission Electronic Microscopy – SEM/TEM).

Selection Timeline: Applications must be submitted by February 28, 2025. Candidates should send their documents via email to costa.marques@unesp.br with the subject line “BOLSA PD – HVO.” The selection process consists of two stages: an analysis of application documents and interviews with pre-selected candidates on March 4, 2025. The final results, following the interviews, will be communicated to all candidates on March 6, 2025.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) also includes a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
