ABOUT THE PROJECT

In this role, you will explore novel ways of understanding and optimizing combustion systems for a sustainable energy future. Your work will focus on:

  • Develop state-of-the-art feature extraction algorithms to classify and parametrize combustion processes.
  • Optimize low-dimensional manifolds using techniques like kernel methods, sampling, and data-driven modal decomposition (PCA, DMD, etc).
  • Design hybrid diagnostics methods that combine data-driven insights and first-principle approaches to tackle turbulent combustion challenges.

WHY JOINING ENCODING?

  • Address Global Challenges: contribute to decarbonizing energy-intensive industries, advancing renewable synthetic fuels.
  • Collaborative environment: join our other PhD students and the universities and industrial network for this fun ride!
  • Career Development: Become a Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellow.
