As a central non-university institution for science and research, the Austrian Academy of Sciences- OeAW has the task of "promoting science in every respect". The Johann Radon Institute for Computational and Applied Mathematics (RICAM) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW), Austria’s leading non-university research and science institution in Applied Mathematics, is offering a position as

POST DOC POSITION (F/M/X)

in the Optimization and Optimal Control Group

(full-time, 40 h per week)

in Linz/Austria for an initial period of one year, with starting date to be arranged.

The hired person will work on optimization and optimal control related to partial differential equations with emphasis on new developments related to machine learning and data science.

Your profile:

• Doctorate related to the above requirements • Strong background in optimization and partial differential equations • Strong background in numerical mathematics and computing • Machine learning skills are welcome • English skills needed
