The full-time base salary will range from $80,523 - $89,505 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 5)

About This Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Senior Research Assistant, with expertise in exercise physiology or exercise science, to join our world-leading School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences to support the School’s Para-Start program . This support will include designing and conducting client programs.
Key responsibilities will include:
Coordinate aspects of the Para-Start Programs client programs - specific to each individual.
Apply specialist research skills or processes, including exercise physiology principles with experience working with people with severe impairment or high support needs.
Assist the Para-Start Clinical Manager and the Para-Start Program Lead with other items as required.
Contribute to the safe and efficient operation of research equipment and infrastructure (including maintenance and upkeep), methodologies and protocols.
Assist with drafting research documentation, including ethics and funding applications and other routine team administration.
About You
Completion of a degree level qualification in exercise physiology or exercise science; or completion of a Diploma with relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Excellent practical research skills and experience in relevant research methodology and techniques required for this body of research.
Experience in assisting clients with severe impairments or high support needs.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues as well as the ability to work independently on routine procedures.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Well-organised, methodical and self-motivated.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including the right to work in Australia.
