Are you ready to play a pivotal role in delivering world-class events for the STEM College? We are on the lookout for an ambitious and dynamic Senior Officer, STEM Events to join our team and make a lasting impact!
About the role
As Senior Officer, STEM Events, you will be at the heart of our event planning and execution, connecting with academics and industry partners to bring cutting-edge ideas to the forefront. You will take charge of logistics, ensuring every event runs seamlessly, and maintain accurate reporting and databases to keep us on track.
But that is not all—you will champion continuous improvement within our team and foster a vibrant, collaborative culture. Whether it is stepping in to support during peak times or being the go-to person for administrative queries, you will be a driving force behind our success.
Please note: This role will occasionally require you to work non-standard hours, and there may be leave restrictions during peak periods.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
Demonstrated communication, relationship building and negotiation skills with the ability to work collegiately with academic and professional staff, students, and external clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a demanding high-volume environment with excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
Proven event coordination experience and planning skills to ensure milestones are achieved and participation targets and semester objectives met.
Commitment to quality service delivery and sensitivity regarding confidential communications.
Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
