About the Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Project Officer to support the development and delivery of successful industry partnerships that drive innovation and strategic growth. In this role, you will work closely with the Director, Business Development to support the University’s philanthropic and industry partnership strategies. You will assist in fostering and managing relationships with corporate and philanthropic partners to create meaningful collaborations and deliver strategic outcomes.

You will engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including corporate partners, University leaders, and external organisations, ensuring partnerships are effectively managed and deliver measurable results. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the development and execution of industry partnership initiatives.
  • Liaising extensively with university staff, schools, and external partners to align collaboration opportunities with strategic priorities.
  • Managing project deliverables, ensuring timely execution and impact measurement.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels and networks to enhance industry engagement.
  • Exploring potential opportunities for international collaboration with strategic partners or at overseas campuses, subject to operational requirements.


This role presents an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to industry partnerships and drive meaningful outcomes for students, staff, and the wider community.

This is a full-time, ongoing position based at Western’s Parramatta South Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. Please review the position description for further information.

Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable professional with:

  • A relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in executive and project support.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports and briefing materials.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, demonstrating initiative and sound judgement.
  • Experience in project support, including monitoring budgets, preparing documentation, and liaising with stakeholders.
  • The ability to coordinate and support events, workshops, and agreement signings.
  • A high level of professionalism, discretion, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment.
