About the Role 

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Library Rover. This position reports to the Customer Service Operations Team Leader and plays a vital role in supporting students and staff with IT-related needs within the library environment.

The Library Rover works collaboratively with Customer Service staff and the IT service desk to ensure a high-quality and seamless customer experience. Key responsibilities include providing guidance on the use of library technologies, offering technical support, and assisting users with various equipment and software-related inquiries.

In addition to addressing a range of technical questions—such as those related to printing, software access, and study space usage—the Rover is also responsible for maintaining the library's physical IT equipment. Strong customer service skills are essential for effectively meeting the diverse needs of library users and ensuring a smooth, efficient, and welcoming environment.

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

  • Detailed knowledge of commonly used applications and mobile device operating systems
  • Detailed knowledge of commonly used software and computer operating systems
  • Sound knowledge of internet tools including Wi-Fi
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and provide customer-focused solutions

Qualifications
A graduate qualification in an appropriate discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and/or training
