Your role

Cloud Cybersecurity Support Specialist will provide specialized technical support for the project by maintaining its infrastructure, ensuring its continuous operation, security and scalability. This role involves managing virtual machines, optimizing cybersecurity simulations and assisting in system security and scalability.

Report to Project Lead

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain and secure the Cyber Arena, ensuring continuous operation of virtual machines.

  • Manage cybersecurity simulations, including red teaming, blue teaming, and CTF competitions.

  • Implement system updates, patches, and resource scaling strategies.

  • Assist in research initiatives and collaborate on cybersecurity training modules.

  • Provide technical support and documentation for students and faculty.

  • Other duties as requested by the project lead.

Key Selection Criteria

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity or related field.

  • Experience in cloud computing and system administration.

  • Knowledge of AWS infrastructure, virtual machines and network security.

  • Familiarity with automated deployment tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, Terraform) is a plus but not required.

  • Demonstrated collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Strong problem-solving and technical communication skills.

  • Commitment to RMIT values and professional integrity

  • Expected duration: 08 months

  • Workload: Part-time - 20 hours per week

English Proficiency

English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS General 6.0 (or equivalent Linguaskill 160).
